How Triage Works
As an emergency and critical care hospital, we treat patients based on medical urgency, not order of arrival. This process, called triage, ensures that pets with life-threatening conditions are seen immediately. While this may mean a longer wait for stable patients, it allows us to focus our resources where they are needed most and helps save lives.
Care During Your Wait
During your wait, a veterinary nurse or technician may check on your pet, gather additional information, or provide comfort care as appropriate. If your pet's condition changes at any time, please alert our front desk staff right away so we can reassess their status.
